The name “Gilan” is derived from the Indonesian word for “out of the ordinary” or “wild”, which perfectly embodies the unique and unconventional aesthetic of the bar the light was originally made for.

Gilantis is a custom-made lamp that was designed specifically for Wild in the Street, a bar located in Fremantle, Western Australia.
